Walnut

The Wizard of Oz uses the Magic Word of Transformation to change Ruggedo into a Walnut, which, of course, cannot talk. Thus Ruggedo is neutralized as a threat until the Wizard can deal with him more properly at a more convenient time. At the end of Ozma's Birthday Party the Wizard changes him back to his original self and makes him drink of the Water of Oblivion. Thus, Ruggedo loses all memory of the Magic Word of Transformation.
