Tip

Tip is a young boy who lives in the Gillikin Country with an old sorceress named Mombi. Although not quite in the same league as the wicked witches of the East and West, nontheless Mombi is a crafty, scheming wizardess who treats Tip poorly. He in turn does not like Mombi, but has no alternative as a young boy in the country but to stay with her. Since he has no playmates he decides to make one, and names it Jack Pumpkinhead. When Tip learns that Mombi intends to turn him into a marble statue for her garden, he runs away with Jack Pumpkinhead. Thus begins an amazing adventure which is chronicled in The Marvelous Land of Oz. Tip's full name is Tippetarius.
