Braided ManA strange recluse who lives in the Pyramid Mountain. He sells such wonderful items as flutters for flags and rustles for silk gowns. Originally he was a mortal living on the surface of the earth where he sold Imported Holes for American Swiss cheese, pores for porous plaster, holes for doughnuts and buttons, and adjustable post-holes. He wound up at his new home in Pyramid Mountain when he fell into one of his post holes which had been adjusted far, far too deep. He is very old and his long white hair and beard are in many braids tied with colored ribbons. Dorothy gives him a blue ribbon to add to his collection. |
First appears in: Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz
