A piece of metal shaped like a horseshoe that causes everyone to love the person who possesses it. The Shaggy Man claims it was given to him by an Eskimo in the Sandwich Islands. However, he really stole it from a girl in Butterfield who was loved so much all the boys quarreled over her. He took it because no one loved or cared for him. The Shaggy Man gave it to Ozma for her Birthday Celebration to hang over the gates to the Emerald City so that whomever passes through the gates may be loved and loving.
