The Royal Club of Oz |
The Royal Club of Oz has been in existence for nearly 5 years and has
a membership of approximately 1,000 persons. Geared towards those who
love the fun and joy of the Oz books, the Royal Club of Oz makes sure
that all its publications and correspondence is written on the same
level as the original Oz books by L. Frank Baum.
The Emerald City Mirror is a bi-monthly, 16-page magazine featuring
stories, puzzles, contests and information about Ozzy things and
events. Each issue opens with a letter from a different Oz character
relating the latest installment in an ongoing Oz adventure. This is
not a reprint or retelling of a previously published Oz story, but an
all new Oz adventure.
Membership in The Royal Club of Oz costs $9.95 a year. Members
receive a membership card signed by the Wizard of Oz, a "Certificate of
Ozzy Citizenship" signed by Princess Ozma (making them an honorary
citizen of Oz for the length of their membership), a color plate from
"The Emerald City of Oz" (suitable for framing), and a year-long
subscription to The Emerald City Mirror.
