The Oz Chronicles
Like the chronicleers of medieval times, the authors of the Oz stories have recorded the events of discrete periods of time. And like the ancient chronicles, a historical thread of continuity runs through these stories. But each story was not written as a chronological sequel to the previous story, and the stories have been recorded by many authors. Thus to understand this thread of continuity and unlock the secrets of the Ozian history, scholarly analysis must be applied to each story to determine its place in the historical timeline of Oz. Fortunately, such a cadre of persistent and inquisitive Oz scholars has been existence in recent years.
