Lesson Design: The students will write 7-9 sentences about the unit they just completed. They will write about what they liked best about the unit, what they learned about Australia, and what they still want to learn about Australia. Once finished, the students will work on their mini-books. The students will place all of their work into a mini-book that will be bound in class. Before the books are bound, the students will design covers for the books. If time remains after the books are bound, the students will have the opportunity to create a play fact games about Australia using index cards.
Assessment: The books will be collected, checked for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughnes, and sent home with the students.
