Jenna and Rachel
Room 14, Grade 2

We are making Easter egg prints. We are learning about potatoes. We are making books about potatoes.

Taylor and Teddy
Room 16, Grades 2 & 3

In Room 16 we are doing a musical on "The Three Little Pigs". Johnny is 1st narrator, Anthony is 2nd narrator, Willy is 3rd narrator, and Thavy is 4th narrator. Kristin is mother pig, J.J. is 1st pig, Allison is 2nd pig, Taylor is 3rd pig, and the wolf is Lencho. The man with straw is Justin, the lady with sticks is Adrienne, and the lady with bricks is Kira. The popcorn, peanuts and Cracker Jacks vendors are Lindsay, Jayme and Jesus. The barker is Nick. The balloon lady is Margo. All classes will be invited Thursday, April 3rd.

Dao and Olivia
Room 18, Grade 2

We are making flowers for our moms and dads for taking care of us all year, and we love our moms and dads a lot. But we don't know how to pay our moms and dads back. When we grow up we will go to work to get a lot of money to give it to our moms and dads, and we will pay our moms and dads back. That is what we want to do when we grow up. We are going to the Key Arena March 29. We are going to see the Sonics in person.

Travis and Ashley
Room 8, Grade 4

On March 9th we are going on a field trip to Seattle Childrens' Theater to see a play about the Hardy Boys. It is called "The Mystery of Skull Bone Island. We are also learning how to divide. We are also going up to the computer lab to surf the net.

Evelyn and Kevin
Room 17, Grades 1 & 2

We are going to see "Krazy Kats" at the Northwest Puppet Theater. And on April 6 we are going to Lincoln Park. We do money problems. The author of the month is Paul Galdone.
Joke:
Why did the four leaf clover cross the road?
Because it was St. Patrick's Day!

Sesen and Justin
Room 12, Grade 3

We are doing Adopt-A-City in the U.S., which means that we look up the temperature of our city on the Internet. There can be four computers on the Internet at the same time. We are going swimming in April. We are going on a field trip in May to the Pike Place Market.

Jayson and Matt
Room 24, Grades 4 & 5

Room 24 is going to the Seattle Symphony on the 25th. Most of the class is excited, but some would rather stay home. Easter is this Sunday, and most people are excited. Joke: Why did the bunny cross the road? I don't know. I was asking you.

Wendy and Kelly
Room 7, Grade 4

Most of our 4th and 5th graders from Arbor Heights went to the Pacific Northwest Ballet. The Western Symphony was our class's favorite. In April we will be having a few tests. We will go to the Seattle Childrens' Theatre. We will be having a state test in Social Studies, in which we have to name the states. We will also have to name parts of a skeleton in Health. In math we are doing long division. Our 5th graders in Arbor Heights are organizing a homeless drive. Keep the clothes, change, and canned food coming! Also, our carnival is on April 4th! Don't forget your raffle tickets, parents! We will be having lots of fun games, a bake sale, and a raffle, plus a lot more!

Room 9, Grade 3

Last Friday we went to the ballet. We had fun at the ballet. Every Friday we are going swimming. Last Tuesday our teacher's computer got hooked up. Now we have four computers! We will go to the Pike Place Market at the end of the month. It will be really fun. We hope everyone has a happy Easter!

Jamie & Janae
Rm. 25, Grade 5

On Thursday, March 27 room 25 fifth graders and room 18 second graders went to the Key Arena. We listened to 4 basketball players on the Seattle Sonics and coach, and 2 of the players on the Seattle Seadogs soccer team. They told us about their lives and what reading meant to them. We saw 2 D.J’s that work with Kube 93: Eric Powers and Bobby-O. They were playing remixes of music. There were also 3 mascots. There was a court jester. His name was Magic Charlie. He plays on the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. One more thing, there were dog races, a Green and Yellow team. The dogs were split in a group of 5. The Green team won!!! It was fun...

Katrina and Justin
Room 4, Kindergarten

We are learning about wood. We are learning how to read. We are reading a whole bunch of different books. We watched the end of "Big Bird Goes to Chinatown". It was cool and funny. Joke: Why did the chicken throw the clock out the window? He wanted to see time fly!

Brittany and Matthew
Room 3, Kindergarten

We've been working in our science journals. We've been learning about wood. We're doing little groups that are teaching us how to read. We have been interested by the Writing Student.

Chelsea and Phillip
Room 15, Grades 2&3

We made maracas. We put beans, rice, and medicine caps in. We made a story about a leprechaun and us. It was fun. We had a little St. Patrick’s Day Party. We are going on a field trip next month.

Bryan and Koriann
Room 21, Grade 5

Our class went to the the the ballet and also the symphony this month. In music we listened to the symphony music and read about the different composers . We are reading Peg Keheret books for book reports. In music we sang songs from the BEETLES. They were She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand . We are reading about the reconstruction in Social Studies .

Doran and Bronson
Room 19, Grade 1

From Doran: We enjoyed working on our projects for the Science Fair. One project we especially enjoyed was Josh’s volcano. It exploded in our room. We are learning to tell time. We use a special clock.
From Bronson: I went to Hawaii with my mom. We had lots of fun, and Grandpa gave me lots of things. One night I saw the Hale-Bopp comet. I saw it from an airplane coming back from Hawaii.

Lucy
Room 1, Grade 1

On St. Patrick's Day I had fun. I went to the Seattle Center. I saw a show. It was a puppet show. We are making Easter bunny baskets. And we also made paper Easter eggs.
