Visitors from Texas  Begley's Visit from Nebraska
Co. A of the 8th VA Infantry Regiment were Philomont boys. They formed part of Garnett's brigade of Pickett's Division and were at the apex of Pickett's Charge on 3 July, 1863. They suffered 95% casulties. Five veterans were all that remained to surrender at Appomatox in 1865.
